The Dream An Angel is teaching a woman the patience and discipline necessary to pour life-giving water from a jar held high into a waiting bowl containing the four elements without spilling a drop. Above them, the celestial clock marks the perpetual movement of life with all things coming to pass in their proper time and season. Time is the essential, yet invisible ingredient in the 'alchemy' we all practice when we try and change the 'lead' of present circumstances into a 'golden' future. The success of our experiment will depend not only on how well we blend the various ingredients of our circumstances but on how attentive and patient we are to assure that everything is mixed at the right time. At the Angel's feet is a full grown bonsai tree whose perfect beauty is the result of cooperation between human and natural intelligence over time. We must also learn to successfully blend the opposing factors and polarities in our life and be at peace with the inevitable presence of both sides of every issue in our world. The Angel appears as our example of the beneficial synthesis of the physical and material world.
