Life, as the Great Mystery, does not speak to us—at least directly.
In every culture, though they may profess to be as mystified as the rest of us, great artists seem to directly connect with Life's creative thrust and reveal its message for all to see and marvel at. As the late Joseph Campbell said, "Who interprets the divinity inherent in nature for us today? Who are our shamans? Who interprets unseen things for us? It is the function of the artist to do this."
Amy Zerner is an artist who has come to fully realize Campbell's vision as the result of blending together both her artistic and spiritual development.
